About:
Carl always loved music as a child- Disney, classical, even TV theme tunes. As a kid. age 6, his nan played him a tape in her pick-up truck - a bass guitar rumbling, a cathedral organ crashing down - it was 'The Phantom of the Opera' - Carl was hooked for life.
Having begun on electronic keyboard and subsequently piano, Carl has played all over Europe. He toured that continent playing saxophone and clarinet with a Big Band, playing Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie et Al. As a pianist he has been sought to perform at Kensington Palace and the Royal College of Music, as well as establishing a career in pit bands, restaurants, rock and blues bands, and recording work. Carl is also a conductor and church organist.
As a composer, Carl has written numerous scores and songs for theatre, including two musicals - he is currently embarking on his third. Carl has also written/arranged for screen, church, commercial bands, and orchestra.
"Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music"
- John Willliams (quoting Rachmaninov)
