About Hanley Chan:
Hanley Chan is a pianist and composer who has been engaging with music for as long as he can remember. Having played the piano since the age of 4, Hanley has ample experience performing in classical and popular styles, as well as jazz piano, and enjoys improvising on the keys as well.
Hanley has over 3 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages and skill levels, both one-on-one and in small group environments. He believes that music learning should be catered to the student’s interests and needs to foster their passion for music. Hanley is flexible and adaptive to suit each student’s unique learning style.
In addition to teaching, Hanley is an avid composer, having written original compositions and arrangements for various shows and films. His recent work includes serving as the music assistant for the Chinese blockbuster Battle at Lake Changjin, working as the music director of Budaya, an annual celebration of Southeast Asian culture in Boston, Massachusetts, and composing for Last Chance Tourism, a short film by Hong Kong YouTuber RedisPolly.
